Navy's Newest Ship

The price of the navy's newest ship is going up. Costs of the Navy's littoral combat ship are rising by as much as 29 percent for the first ship, the Congressional Research Service says. The most significant cost increase occurs when the Navy starts to buy six ships per year. Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics are building the ships.
